May 28, The Independence Day of Armenia, was celebrated by the students of the college on Tuesday, May 27.
The celebration took place in the playground of the college and extended for one whole day inside the college. The students came to school on that day without their uniforms; they were wearing red, blue, and orange T-shirts provided by the administration.
In the morning, the students of the college who are scouts at H.M.E.M. performed the flag ceremony accompanied by the National Anthem of Armenia, "Our Fatherland." Parents' Meeting |
Before a month from the end of the present school year, the last parent meeting for this academic year took place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. It was set as a preparation to end the school year.
At the beginning of the meeting, the principal Mr. Vicken Avakian made a general evaluation about term III and presented the best 10 students and the names of the students who had gotten the highest grades in each subject. Later and before distributing the report cards, he made some announcements related to the academic and disciplinary issues that guarantee completing this school year smoothly. In his word, the principal referred to the financial duties of the parents and emphasized greatly on the necessity of parents' paying their debts before the end of the school year. More...

BH Public Library's
"Book Lovers" |
The Public Library of Bourj Hammoud which is on the 2nd floor of the college had a big number of visitors, book reading lovers, and school students during the last months who visited the library for various subjects and by choosing the appropriate books satisfied their interests.
During that period, the computer listing of the Armenian books in the library ended. As a "Supplement", 3750 books were added to the website of the library on the internet BHPublicLibrary.com. Now the library has undertaken the task of preparing a list for some representatives of Armenian newspapers ("Agos", "Vem", ...).
